About the role
The technical lead for GitLab’s People Technology team. The role owns the code, pipelines and integrations behind GitLab’s People automation across Workato, Google Cloud, Claude, Workday, Greenhouse and Slack.
What you’ll build
People system automations and integrations across Workato, GCP, Claude, Workday and Greenhouse
Workday Web Services and Slack API integrations, plus Slack apps and bots
CI/CD pipelines and deployment practices for People automation
Agents and LLM/MCP tooling that remove manual work across the People Group
What they’re looking for
Production code in Ruby or a comparable scripting language
Deep Workato or similar iPaaS experience and Workday WWS integrations
Treats automation code like production software: Git, review, CI/CD
